Brett Essler has been a content strategist and digital storyteller at Columbia University since 2008. He is a graduate of Columbia Journalism School, where he was awarded the Pulitzer Traveling Fellowship. Outside of his work at Columbia, his writing and photography has appeared in Modern Farmer, Narratively, Treehugger, Mobiography, Razorcake, Zisk, and Adirondack Life. He is the co-editor and co-publisher of the literary/photography zine Submerging.
